An island strategy game

The old stories say ravens carry word of every oath sworn and every oath broken to the Allfather. Out on the cold northern sea, past the fjords and the roar of the Maelstrom, the isles begin, and nobody has found where they end. Ships have sailed north for a whole summer and come home with nothing to report but more shore. Nobody rules them all. The High Seat has stood empty since the king was lost at sea. Every jarl who holds a shore holds it in the king's name, and every jarl wants the seat itself.

You are one of those jarls. Fish the black water for stockfish and dig bog iron out of the marsh until a few rocky isles become a jarldom that can feed its people and pay its Housecarls. Raise Longships. Swear Oaths and keep them, because the ravens are listening and so is the Lawspeaker's Log. Hunt the outlaw crews hiding among the skerries, or fall on a rival with a Strandhogg. The tides, the storms and the midnight sun change which isles pay best. Your orders build up while you are away, so you play at your own pace. Each season ends at the Moot, and one jarl sits in the High Seat.
